At 1428 hours on May 12, 2008, an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 occurred in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, causing significant personal and property losses.
The company leader instructed the administrative department to pay attention to the earthquake disaster and to understand the current situation of the company’s personnel and their relatives. It is understood that four of the company’s leaders and employees are from Sichuan, one is Sichuan’s son-in-law, and three employees are on business in Chengdu. Except for Zhao Lun’s family in the marketing center, a wall collapsed and fortunately no one was hurt, the rest of the staff are in good condition.
On the morning of May 14, the Ministry of Administration posted a proposal for donation and blood donation. Within two hours, Wang Xia of the marketing center donated the first donation. Zeng Shengjin, who had just entered the R&D center last month, also donated money voluntarily in the earthquake-stricken areas. As of 11:00 a.m. on the 15th, the Ministry of Administration had received a total of 93 donations from good-hearted people, amounting to RMB 18885, together with 200,000 yuan donated by the company, which had been donated to Wenchuan earthquake-stricken area through the China Education Development Foundation (http://www.cedf.org.cn/) at noon on the 15th.
It is used to support students from Wenchuan disaster-stricken families who were admitted to Beijing Colleges and Universities in 2008 to complete their university studies.
Each person who participates in the donation will receive a donation certificate and a donation receipt (which can be used for personal income tax relief and implemented by the Ministry of Finance).
